- 1 July 2026 – Home and small-business activities (BESS1/BESS2) commence.
- 1 September 2026 – BESS4 and BESS5 commercial rebates officially begin.
The scheme can also be stacked with the federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program for eligible systems up to 100kWh, giving businesses access to two incentive streams.
